Love is involvement and intimacy with things. The discomfort always came through the reflection of self and what I thought I knew. When I saw the dog before, I saw Lisa as somebody who’d been chucked out and abandoned by life, so when I saw the dog, dying by itself, all I saw was Lisa’s abandonment. I never saw something. When that stopped, all that was left was love, because that’s the nature of everything.
Not love as a feeling. Love as an intimacy, emptiness or a fuseing experience.
That was quite an answer.
